Project Manager (Corona, CA)

Survey Party Chief I (Corona, CA)

Department(s): Operations - Field • Reports to Manager of Field Services & Construction.

Experience: Minimum of 3.5 Years.

Job Summary: A Survey Party Chief I is required to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survey computations, types of surveys and field operations. The individual in this position is well versed with field notes and in depth plan interpretation. The Party Chief I possesses supervisory skills and a detailed working knowledge of standard field and office procedures. The Party Chief I has knowledge of the principles of the profession and various technical standards. Exhibits an ability to read and understand plan sets including Utility Plans, Rough Grading Plans, Precise Grading Plans, Architectural Plans, Structural Plans, etc.

    Summary of Essential Job Function:

  • Types of Surveys: Photo Control Surveys, Public Land Surveys, GPS Surveys, As-built Surveys.
  • Field Equipment & Instrument: Extensive Knowledge of Proper Field Procedures.
  • Survey Computations: Have knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and algebra as related to traverse, inverse and intersection computations.
  • Control Points: Horizontal & Vertical - Know when to use, how to obtain, and how to interpret control point records and data sheets, as well as locate points in the field.
  • Field Operations: Knowledge of a wide variety of surveying field operation methods.
  • Field Notes: Know how to create and check orderly field notes.
Survey Technician IV (Corona, CA)

Department(s) Operations - Office • Reports to Project Manager

Experience - Minimum of 3.5 Years

Job Summary: The Survey Technician IV is responsible for working on mapping projects, including Record of Surveys, Tentative Maps to Final Maps (both Parcel and Tract Maps), Lot Line Adjustments, Corner Records, Legal Descriptions and Exhibits, Condominium Plans, etc.

Summary of Essential Job Function:

  • Ability to research property information from county websites (e.g. assessor's parcel maps, record maps, field books, etc.).
  • Understands RAW Data
  • Proficient in the interpretation of legal descriptions.
  • Ability to prepare legal descriptions and exhibits (easements, vacations, dedications, etc.).
  • Draft (ALTA/LARGE TOPOS...etc)
  • Begin to Understand Title Reports (Small Sites/Telecom)
  • Strong Knowledge of the use of Civil 3D 2016 and above.
  • Knowledge of the use of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to identify conflicts within documents, maps and drawings.
  • Expertise to identify conflicts between collected field data and existing field conditions.
  • Knowledge to prepare tentative maps through their final stage (parcel maps and tract maps).
  • Expertise to interact with clients, title officers, developers, lawyers, in the process of finalizing a tract map or parcel map.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in mapping projects.
